Our Funding: A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club
Our programs and services are funded by contributions from caring individuals, foundations, corporations, and the United Way of Central Alabama. United Way of Central Alabama has long supported efforts of the A. G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club, and is expected to continue to do so as long as the Club reaches out to children in underserved areas of Greater Birmingham.

Officials from Jack & Jill, a service organization, present a check to the staff and children at A.G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club.
Our national affiliate, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, also provides resource support for organizations like ours, operating in public housing neighborhoods.
While our affiliate, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, requires an annual membership fee of $8, the A. G. Gaston Boys & Girls Club offers assistance to any child unable to pay the $8 membership fee. We provide scholarships to college-bound Club members and fund the secondary insurance coverage required for our Clubs.
Again, when hardship is documented, no child eligible for membership in the Club is refused participation because of an inability to pay.
Finally, our funding comes from fees we charge for additional services to parents, such as a trans-portation service in the afternoons, picking up Club Members from school and bringing them to our Club, and a Summer Day Camp program. Again, in cases of hardship, no child is refused Club participation because of an inability to pay.
If you are interested in making a difference in a child’s life and investing in these future citizens, please take a moment to make your gift now!
